Coffee - "CIMNE Intellectual Property Model: Application to the GiD Case", by Abel Coll

Wednesday, March 22nd, 2017. Time: 15h

Place: O.C. Zienkiewicz Conference Room, C1 Building, UPC Campus Nord, Barcelona.

ABSTRACT

About 3 years ago the new 'Law of Science' in Spain came into force to regulate intellectual property rights (IPR) in research centers. Within this framework, CIMNE's intellectual property legislation was developed. This internal regulation of CIMNE regulates the intellectual property rights of the products of CIMNE, as well as the distribution of benefits in the case in which those products generate income. One of its main objectives is to encourage researchers to create novel products.

In this CIMNE Coffee we will proceed to explain the Intellectual Property model developed by GiD, which has been the first that has been created in CIMNE. The idea is that this model serves as an example for other products that can be developed in CIMNE.
